Used for 2008 Dodge ram 1500 SLt
I took the keys to the local hardware to get cut for $1 each . I recommend separating the fob in half so that it will fit in the key cutting machine to cut it correctly. I than programmed the keys using a SBB key programmer that can be bought for rather cheap online. I cost about $150-200 per key if done at a dealer. I paid a total of $100 dollars with keys and programmer. Plus I have used the programmer to do other keys so I have saved a lot of money doing it myself. You do need to have the key code to make the process quicker (the programmer says it can pull the code from memory from your car's CPU but I have never tried). The key code should be with your manual and if it is not you can contact a dealer and email proof of ownership with drivers license, registration and insurance. They ... These keys work great but I would suggest buying more than a set because sometimes the keys will not hold the code for very long. I have only ran into two out of about twenty that had issues holding the code and programming after a few months. My truck can store seven keys in it's memory so I usually program 4 and keep a few around encase one goes bad.

At first I was excited but after spending over 200 dollars having them programed they work when they want to and although you can start the truck with these keyes the they won't always unlock the doors and turn off the alarm! I should have bought factory replacements. Live and learned!
