bang for buck
Not sure if there is a better deal on the net. Best watt per dollar anywhere. However...the spectrum may not be optimal. 13/60 chips are a very warm, almost yelllow white. I havve "populargrow" 300w also and it has a much redder spectrum. The upside to this though is it is much brighter (5w chips contribute to this also) and therefore has better penetration...no IR chip either but its debatable whether they are of any use. I have bought 3 so overall I am happy...definitely the choice for budget grower or low ventilation rooms.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Mars Hydro 300 watt (white frame)
This is an LED type, full spectrum grow light from Mars Hydro and it produces some "middle of the road" yields. The ideal grow area for this 300 watt light (It actually draws less than 100 watts) is 2' x 2' or smaller. It is a full spectrum grow light but it does not have IR (inferred) L.E.D.'s. I use this light as a "booster light" (on the sides of my grow tent) which I combo it with the Mars TS1000W's sun-type spectrum L.E.D. lights. Efficiency on a budget
Not all 'blackbox chinese' lights are created equal! I've been using Mars Aqua for my Reef tank for over 2 years with great success at a fraction of the usually much more expensive 'pro' brands. My wife who's an horticulturist needed grow lights for a school projects (not kidding, sometimes, people grow other stuff...) and gave Mars a shot again with their 'green reflector series'. Once again, great success and all 3 ramps are still running like day one, 12 hrs + a day. I added this one as a powerful refugium light to grow chaeto at a faster rate. Hard to tell for now as it's been only a few days but I wouldn't be surprised if the results were great. Moreover, we got a great deal from topledfactorystore and their shipping was crazy fast.

Grows spinach like crazy
I am new with indoor gardening and I am still learning lots. I have tried some smaller LED as well as a 4 foot fluorescent with 2 aquarium lamps installed and I was not getting any growth. I found these lights and thought I would give them a try. I have had more growth in my spinach in a little over a week than I did in a month before. The spinach went from thin spindly body to thick body and nice leaves. I had hoped to get it ready for Thanksgiving but they are not ready to eat. I honestly believe had I installed these lights at the beginning, the spinach would be in our Thanksgiving salads. These work great. They are so bright, it honestly hurts my eyes and I am in need of some eye protection when watering the plants. I like them lots, they work great. I plan on getting a larger light in the future for another winter garden after the new year. These made it really work. Quality is great as well. Great light.

Works, but..
The light is bright, it works.. Seems to be constructed well. Been using it for weeks now, no malfunctions. But here's the thing... you see all these positive reviews claiming low heat? That's a lot of craaap. These things put out a pretty fair amount of heat. If you were to use them in a small enclosed space, like a small tent, you would have trouble even with great air exchange. Yeah, they work.. but they are NOT cool-running by any means.
