I bough the small which, by the way, is larger than expected covering a large area of the back. (check out the measurements to see what I mean). It is flexible so you can wrap it around your arm or leg or hip if needed. I'm dealing with serious pain from arthritis among other things so, anything that brings relief is appreciated. And, I got relief from using this pad. Actually purchased a second one, I was so happy with it. (One I use in bed and one is on my rocking chair.) The control offers many options in temperature which is great since people can react to heat temperatures in different ways. I am sensitive so, I keep it at about 120. But it goes lower and also, much higher. And, you can set the turn off time too in varying degrees in case you want to have it shut off when you go to sleep. Very well made and thoughtfully made product.Read full review

I had a different brand o0f Far-Infrared heating pad that lasted for about 3 years. It was a god send, but a little small. So when I founf this one at the very reasonable price I decided to give it a try. so far it has lived up to my expectations.

OK, I am an orthopaedic surgeon and my wife is also a physician. We are aging and both have a fair amount of daily back, sciatic, and leg pain. For those who hurt I would rate mine 1-3/10, hers 3-5/10. She has had one minor surgery, microdiscectomy, which really helped, but like most back surgery was maybe 75-80% helpful. Knowing what I know, I would try to avoid surgery at all cost. We wore out 3 heating pads over 2 years and wondered if there was not something better. I suggested that there must be something more industrial grade, perhaps used by physical therapists and such, which led me to this product. I bought her the intermediate size and when it was received I teased her telling her that she could not have it, it was MINE. She loves it and it is big. My problems are less so I ordered the small one for myself which is simply the size of a standard heating pad. I am sitting on against it as I write. She is happy and I am very happy. I am no fool and read many reviews, the most important perhaps suggesting that the attachment to the pad was irritating in its bulk. There is some merit to that since it is a small bump, but I completely agree with the compromise in engineering that it is built like a tank to last, unlike the other highly rated softy pads we have previously purchased. I really like this heating pad. Although it is called a small pad, the size is right for putting it on many parts of your body, such as the back, shoulders, legs and arms. It is flexible, maintains any heat setting you prefer and times at 15 minute intervals. Because of the 60 jade stones it is a bit heavy, but I don't have a problem with that at all. It is working fine so far and my aches feel a lot better.

Very good quality, but no instructions came with it. Also, wished the temperature was in fahrenheit instead of celsius.
