We have both a NuWave cook top and this one. The new wave is slower to boil but more responsive to temperature changes. Presets limit ability to simmer/hold on warm. Presets limit temperature selection like on a regular electric stove where you select a 1, 2 3, ... dialed temperature. The Tayama is Very fast to boil, good appearance and easy to use. We only use induction cook tops now. Our stove sits idle except for the oven. We removed the glass-top electric stoves control knobs and just use the induction cook-tops in place of the stove burners. Fast, easy and saves electricity. We use the Tayama when we want FAST heat up and the NyWave for more controlled applications and slower cooking objectives like simmering soup. You need to work with these types of cook-tops just like you would a new stove to identify the implications of the various pre-sets. I would definitely buy this again.Read full review

This item is a waste of money. It either burns everything or is very slow to a boil. Trying to fry is impossible! I tried to use this many times and gave up each time! It is unpredictable except when it comes to frying, You will be able to predict after a couple of uses that it will burn. When using it to boil water or make soup it takes much longer than a regular burner on a stove top. I regret this purchase as I can not find anything useful in this product.

This unit is compact and works well. The heat presets and other features are clearly marked and work as advertised. If I had a beef it might be that the cooking pot is a bit flimsy, but it works well, too.

This is a pretty good deal, unless you run across a real deal on a NuWave, which has more precise controls. Get a Lodge (Made in USA) fry pan and/or pot and you are good to go. The included pan is too thin and you will not get as good an experience.

I love my induction stove top!!! It has cut my cooking time in half. I would recommend this product to anyone interested in purchasing an Induction Cooktop. Feather weight, digital operations and it cleans up like the exterior of my microwave. I will buy more of these.
