This knife, like other Tojiro-manufactured knives, sets the bar exceptionally high. Right out of the box, the blade is extremely sharp but with very little time spent on a 6,000 grit whetstone, it was even sharper and ready to rock 'n roll. This monster of a knife will conquer all your culinary needs and desires and not only does it retain it's edge very well, it can attain a very fine one too. The first time I cut open an avocado, it seemed like the pit wasn't present since there was no resistance but upon closer inspection, the blade sliced the pit in half, amazing stuff indeed. While the handle material isn't anything super special, it gives the knife a good grip and feels quite sturdy.
