Really nice cheap watch. Keeps good time. Face is clear. Unfortunately I thought I was. Buying a birthday or retro chique. I liked the idea of a 60s cold War timepiece with Russian overtones, it kind of does. But the face is too big to be the case. I was going to buy one of these for a friend but it's not quite right as a period piece. It's a shame.

Unlike earlier reviews this watch had a battery and hands which glow in the dark. The watch is light. It is retro in style . A commemoration of Yuri Gagarin's flight as the first man in space in 1961. Very comfortable to wear. Like most things these days it is made in China, but is stamped as a genuine Sturmanskie watch . I liked the watch for what I bought it for - a gift for a friend, who has everything, for his 80th birthday, He was a pilot in his youth and is often reminiscing.
