I have had my S3 for 2 years and decided to up the annie to a galaxy S5. it is fast and multitask and easy to operate. My old phone even worked after 30 minutes under a Jacuzzi water. Dried out slowly then it has worked since that for the last 14 months. I wanted a faster phone and more megapixels. it has been a great phone. i didn't want to get the S6. you cant easily add or change memory and you are stuck with the battery inside. I can go for several days by just swapping out batteries instead of just charging the one in the phone. Sometimes a real time saver.

I bought this phone in March and since May my phone has given me a lot of trouble. I have put more money in fixing this phone than what it was worth. I've never had trouble with any phones. I was very excited to get this phone but soon enough my phone's screen was constantly having pop-up apps, etc. Also my phone's power button stopped working on me for about two weeks so I was unable to turn it off for fear of it not being able to turn back on. Unfortunately these things happened after the 30 day warranty and I'm screwed with this phone.

This is one of the best most recent Android smartphones left. It is a real shame that the S6 and now the S7 do not have the two main selling points of this phone, a replaceable battery and expandable memory (though the S7 does have the micro-SD, but not a removable battery). The stock TouchWiz ROM is okay. It has some need features, but they are more gimmicks than anything else. The heartrate monitor is just okay and the fingerprint scanner is very picky (so I don't use it). The phone is easy to root using Odin and CF-AutoRoot. Android 6.0 is suppose to be released by Samsung around May 2016. However, once Cyanogenmod 13 releases a stable snapshot I will likely upgrade to that instead. The phone can be upgraded to support wireless charging, however Samsung no longer makes the OEM back cover to support it. Making the only reasonably priced alternative third party add-ons. Great phone, only wish Samsung would make newer phones with the same longevity combining replaceable battery with expandable storage.Read full review

"NEW" Galaxy s5 arrived with Charcoal black back cover. Went online with Sprint to transfer service from my older S-3. Sprint site said my numbers corresponded to a phone originally built in White, and my phone was shipped without a SIM card. Efforts to get the S-5 up and running necessitated a trip to the regional Sprint store that had a back room shop and stock of SIM cards. Not quite as "new" as I expected, but now up and running.

I love this phone, the colors are crystal clear and bright and its very easy to use and fun to play around with learning all that it has to offer. The battery lasts all day and charges pretty fast. I believe this phone is much more bang for your buck and better the some of the newest phones out there. The only thing I can say that does concern me about this phone is the little cover slot to where the charger goes in, it feels very flimsy and I am worried it could possibly break off easily and the slot to insert the charger seems hard to push it in and connect it so you just need to be easy and careful. My service with this phone has never been better now that I have this phone, internet and texting is fast and my calls I can hear clearly and no call drops. Some of these older phones are better then the newer ones, this one is fast and I just love it!Read full review
