I bought it for a friend who was interested in learning to reload. He is happy to go to his shed and make 5 to 10 rounds, then call it quits for the day. He has produced some very nice and accurate 6.5 CM rounds. It is proof that you do not need to spend a lot of money for quality. If you would like a more expensive brand name, go a head. But if you want a good reloading system at a reasonable price get the Lee kit.

When I got this kit I knew nothing about reloading. I had some sets of dies I had gotten over the years, a primer installer, and a $55 cheap reloading press. I decided to set it all up. I decided I really needed a powder measure and a better way to install primers. I bought this kit and it worked out well. It took some time to learn. I have reloaded several thousand rounds with it now. Reloading supplies are expensive, but I can still pay the inflated prices and it comes out to about $23 per 50 rounds. Which I can live with to be able to shoot right now. The powder measure seems cheaply made, it leaks out the side, and it has a closed top on it. Come on LEE you can do better. Other than that the press is really nice, and the scale works. I like this kit and I would recommend it to anyone. Other things you are going to need to get started, is a Reloading Book with Reload Data, Dies, a good set of Calipers, and a Reloading tray. Read full review

The Lee press is very good but you really don't need all the extras. The scale is not very accurate! You have to purchase the mounting plate separately. I think it would be nice to have this in the kit instead of some of the other items. I had to buy a good caliper and good digital scale. These items would be better in the kit instead of the Safety Prime. I have not figured out how to use the Quick Trim aspect of the kit and have just been using it manually.

I had this same press when I first started reloading 10 years ago, but going thru some rough times I sold my reloading equipment. When I was back on my feet and had the opportunity to buy this kit again for a really good price I jumped on it. The Lee single stage press is one of the easiest to set up and use. The scale is right on the money every time and once the powder measurer is set it has never failed to throw the proper amount of powder. I would recommend this kit to anyone wanting to get started in reloading great quality, great price and MADE IN THE U.S.A.

For anyone that wants to start reloading it would look into the 50th anniversary kit. Its easy to use even for a beginner. I have loaded over 500 rounds on it. I love it.
