While I have not had the chance to take to the range and zero yet the fit and finish of the optic is very good and feels of good quality. The optic I received actually took a day or so to operate under the solar function as described. The adjustments have good detent for their change of settings and the settings change as they are described. I have routinely inspected the optic since I have mounted it and still feel that it will suit my needs as long as durability stands up which I can not see why it wouldn't. I am pleased with going with this Holosun and it sure beats the price point of a micro H1.

This is a well made product and a very compact unit. Holds zero. You can spend hundreds more for another red dot sight with the same features in this product. I have owned several EOTechs and one Aimpoint; these are good units. I sold them, to replace with this red dot, because I get more features and the same performance. With my old eyes, the front sight begins to disappear after 15 minutes. This little red dot sight allows me to continue shooting 300 yards, with an unmagnified sight, and holding two minutes. I chose the 'circle dot’ model, because the circle helps me find the dot. The flip covers keep dust off the lenses. I like the lever release, because it is easier to use than a screw head alone. Nearing 60 years old, as long as my trigger finger doesn’t wear out, I think that is doing pretty good.Read full review

I bought mine online after seeing lots of reviews. I like the always on feature with low drain on the battery. My eotech goes dead in my gun safe after 6 months. The diameter of the viewfinder is narrow but does the trick just fine. Light weight and easy to use and adjust

This is the second Holosun 515c I have bought and both are exceeding my expectations for holographic parallax free sight about 1/3 the price of the name brands. (Now that it's discounted due to new model out) The good: Price. $189.99 shp included! This is the discounted price since new model with ears/ramps to protect the adjusting turrets has come out. Small outside size w no protrusions to interfere w sighing w both eyes open. Ability to have both a 2 MOA dot for long distance and a 65 MOA circle for close/CQB. Comes w high and low mounts and a very secure locking mount for std Picatiny rail. (Achieves a lower 1/3 co-witness on my Ruger SR 5.56, and on an Adams Arms piston AR gave 100% co witness with M-bus rear and Troy frt sights) Plenty of brightness/settings and auto function performs well unless you are indoors in dark room shooting into sunlight. But Hey, all auto settings do this and then you just have to use manual mode. Display: optics are bright enough not to matter but don't expect Leuopold/Nikon glass quality when you're not paying $1000s! Circle is clear and aligned but dot has some minor"starring" and is not perfectly a discrete dot. So let's say that increases its size to a 3MOA. But that is the small price you pay to get a good quality red dot at $190 delivered. Solar powered: the battery life is stated at 30,000 hours and whenever in enough light it automatically switches to solar powered extending batter life even more. Only have had 1st one for 1 year so can't confirm baterry life. Extra battery tray w screws and o-ring included. Great since its plastic w very small screws and tiny o-ring. DON'T run w out 0-ring-won't be water proof Has flip DOWN lens caps that are nice in that they are spring loaded, don't feel cheap, and don't obstruct your view when open, and stay closed Durability: I have 500 rounds of 5.56 and 60 rounds of 12 ga shot w this attached and so far no problems or POA/POI shifts. Also the internut reviews are favorable which is why chose this. Attaches/reattaches with very little to no rezeroing needed. Battery can be changed w out removing sight. Comes with the 2 sizes of star Allen wrenches needed. W&E adustments are easy since both are internally well marked when you remove caps. Caps have a built in screwdriver for adjustments in the field. Note that adustment "clicks" are not sharp but a little soft. Comes w kill-flash for you tactical/SHTF/TEOTWAWKI guys and gals. The BAD: Dot is a little "starred" as mentioned above but not a deal breaker. Battery tray has very small screws and o-ring and is somewhat fragile so you have to be careful when replacing battery, but then you won't be doing this often (and you do get a spare). And the tiny screws and o-ring stay on the battery holder during removal which helps. Made in China (but seems to be a "goog"made in china) Future repairs/service/parts???????? I think this is a great sight for the now discounted price. I suggest you get one now since I don't know how long they will be available. Suggest you LIGHTLY grease o-ring and Locktite the mounting screws.Read full review

Having purchased a couple of the cheaper red dot sights- I decided that I wanted one that was parallax free. During my research, the Holosun HS515 turned up. Both of my cheaper sights were capable of offering a red or green "dot", while this Holosun only offers red. Not a huge issue, but on some targets, does make it difficult to see. The sight seems of very high quality with a great reticle that is crisp looking and as bright as you could want. I would recommend to others as a very nice bargain unit
