Analog Devices' AD8495 Type-K Thermocouple Amplifier is so easy to use that Adafruit has documented all the necessary steps on the back of the board. The board is operated with a voltage of 3 V to 18 V, the temperature can be read at the analog output OUT. The conversion from voltage to temperature is as follows: The scope of delivery includes the board, a terminal block for connecting the thermocouple and a pin strip, which you can solder on if required. In addition to the AD8495, there is also a TLVH431 chipset on the board, which supplies a precise reference voltage of 1.25 V. Please note that this module can only be used with type K thermocouples! If the thermocouple is designed for the measuring range, measurements from -250°C to +750°C (0 to 5 V) are possible with an operating voltag.
