Well, I bought this because I thought it would look great with my grey suit; which it did. The "case" or sheathe is pretty good, but there were some pointers on it. Getting the wave into the case was no problem, but the fit is so tight it just looks stupid when I wanted to take it out and it felt like I was going to rip off the strips that holds the belt in place. Theres a technique to take it out, but I just wish it was a bit looser. But I guess the more you use it the looser it gets, also the flap that closes down is maybe bit too tall so theres a gap between the "roof" and the wave (maybe a pinky or ringfinger). So basically the sheathe should've had a looser fit, but the flap could've been tighter. Ill continue using the stock sheathe as its a bit lower profile, and because of the weapons law here its gets a bit attention. Overall a great product. Very satisfied.Read full review

This is NOT the ORIGINAL that came with the Wave Leatherman Tool. This is a sheath that Leatherman came out with as a replacement sheath, I'm guessing as a fits all for several different tools. It is too large for the Wave and the fit is very loose. I stuffed a wad of soft leather in the bottom of this one in order to make a tighter fit. The original was a darker brown in color, smaller, with different snap button lettering. May fit other Leatherman tools, but not the Wave. See pics.

When I first received this sheath, I wasn't too impressed. The leather felt thin and I didn't think it would hold up to well. But I started using it immediately because the ballistic nylon one that came with my Wave was completely worn out. So far after over a week of hard use this has held up perfectly. I am a diesel mechanic on large buses and crawl through, over, and under them in the course of a day. The only sign of wear this has is when I had to crawl under a bus on the side of the road, it has a scratch in the leather from the pavement. So far I am impressed, hope it holds up for a long while.

This is my third holster (sheath) for the Leatherman Wave multi-tool I received as a gift about 20 years ago. The original lasted about 12 years before the stitching on the belt loop gave out. The second one lasted about 8 years before I tore the belt loop navigating a narrow passage. This one appears and feels similar to the quality & material of two predecessors. I expect to get 8-12 out of this one as well. Room for improvement: The stitching for the belt loop should be doubled-up for additional strength.

The sheath looks great, my only negative comment is the stitching that holds the belt strap/loop to the sheath, it's week and will rip apart in a few months if you use the tool everyday. My new Wave and my Charge DOES fit in this sheath, a little tighter but easy enough to pull out the tool. Always a brand new pouch would need to be use for a while so it can stretch to accommodate the multi tool, or if you want a faster result, you can soak the sheath in water for a few minutes, insert the tool an let it sit until the leather dries, the sheath will form to the exact same contour as the new Wave or the Charge and the tool will fit perfect, like it was made for it.
