Lot's of Light!
You never know about this stuff, but in this case, it is GREAT! I can't imagine how they make this so inexpensively! Comes completely turn-key, ready to go with rigid aluminum plate (thin, so don't expect to stack anything on it!) hangers and power supply. Really bright light, you can tell it is in the right spectrum, the plant leaves look black under the light, so most of it is absorbed! I'm buying a few more. Giving 3 stars for now as I just received the unit and already am not impressed. THE GOOD: -The light is very bright and my plants appear black under it, so I hope it will help my plants grow in the next few months, only time will tell). -It lights about a 16"x16" very well and less so further out. -Very simple. No buttons or control. THE BAD: -The light is VERY thin, so much so, that it was warped before or during shipping. This doesn't affect its ability to turn on and off, but was difficult to hang with the weird warping. -No hanging kit, clips or any other accessories included. Disappointing as I thought a mounting kit was included (I used fishing line and a ceiling hook I had on hand) -No power switch so you must unplug to turn off (which is only a pain because of where I have my ... purple plants
It is an okay light just started using it for my hydroponic vegetable plants. this light makes the plants look purple. My full spectrum fluorescent light captures the full beauty of the plants. only problem I have with the light is when I received it one of the led bulbs is burned out but not a big deal. will have to wait and see if the plants grow and hold there color like they did under the fluorescent light.It is an okay light just started using it for my hydroponic vegetable plants. this light makes the plants look purple. I just started using it.
I am not sure if it will be as effective as the T5 and other plant grow lights, but am trying it. It did work and the LED driver just gets warn - not hot. The product was received in a timely manner and was complete when it arrived. This is an experiment to see if LED can help with growing veg seedlings and will use on house plants after.

Cool design but didn't grow my plants
I bought three of these lights to start some of my plants for the garden. I have basil, tomatoes, bell peppers, and snapdragons. After a month, they are barely taller than a much younger seedling. I like the lights, they are sleek and stay cool to the touch. But I think that maybe only 225 LED bulbs isn't powerful enough to be effective. These lights are also my first try of the blue-red spectrum LEDs, so I don't know whether the problem is not sticking with pure white fluorescent bulbs which have worked fine for my pre-season indoor growing.I bought three of these lights to start some of my plants for the garden.
