Our family has 2 Dell Latitude E6410 laptops. The Precision M4500 is like an E6410 on steroids. The one I am using has a 15.6" FHD (Full High Definition) display and an nVidia card with 1 GB. Many of the components are interchangeable with the Latitude E6410 and Latitude E6400 laptops our family owns. I plan to replace the 4 GB of RAM with 8 GB of RAM, and I knew that before I won this M4500 in the eBay auction last month. I bought a Corsair 240 GB SSD for the M4500. In the future, our family will probably add another M4500. Easy to service and components are available on ebay.

In comparison to the Dell 6500: This one is one size smaller, still has room for a half size ssd, gives you a choice to take out the cdrom drive and install a 2nd hdd in its place, a brilliant screen, i7, or i5 intel, both very capable of running cad software, or gaming, if that's your desire...excellent sound system totally flexible bios, excellent battery life..it is truly a Mercedes among laptops.... Personally, I use linux and had no compatibility problems, save one: the webcam was not recognized.But this problem should not exist for Windows users. It is weighty, that is perhaps a drawback for some, well it is not a tablet. Windows users will have a hard time utilizing the ssd portion to put the OS there and users and settings on the hdd, but linux users will find this easy to accomplish. The machine is fast, as what's expected from the intel i7, heat dissipation is well implemented, but don't put it on a blanket, shutting off the air intake grille at the bottom. Price on this unit is not dropping as fast as is the case with other brands and models that are no longer available new, but that is a sign of quality. If you get one that's used but not banged up, take good care of it, it will serve you for the next years.Read full review

I do 3D model design. The price was unbeatable. It has some wear. You cannot beat the price for what machine I got. I only wish I had more money to buy more.
The computer runs very smooth, great product based on the price. Gaming is also very smooth. Overall, a 10/10 :)
