Hooked this up to my X-Type with a JVC DAB/Bluetooth Head Unit. I was hoping for full compatibility with the Wheel Buttons, but although Volume +/- work, and Input Select switches ok, the Phone button doesn't work at all and the "presets" buttons scan the waveband rather than move up and down the radio presets. Not a huge problem because I can answer calls by pressing the volume knob on the Head Unit, and it's no great hassle to press the preset buttons on the unit. However, I was disappointed because I believed the Hype, despite the warning from Public Enemy. (On Connects2's website it says "Allows you to upgrade to an aftermarket head unit whilst maintaining use of your factory steering wheel controls", so I assumed the best.) When I contacted Connects2 Customer Support, they did reply quickly, but pointed out that JVC wasn't on the list of fully supported interfaces. I found it easy to install (even though it isn't made clear that in the patch lead installation instructions that unnecessary wires have to be cut and insulated), and am glad that I have volume control from the wheel, but the basic Jaguar X-Type to ISO harness is considerably cheaper.Read full review
