Have always used Dell laptops, my last purchase I wavered between another Dell and a Mac....made the mistake of buying another Dell...nothing but problems, 3 hard drives in almost 4 years did it for me. I'm very careful of downloads, and I never took it anywhere with me. Bought this MacBook Air 13, and once I got used to the Apple OS, I will NEVER go back to a PC. I also bought the USD Superdrive so that I can use cd/dvds with the machinet (there is no cd/dvd drive on this machine), and I also bought the apple wireless mouse, only because I hate the touch pad. I love this and would recommend it to anyone. It's light, and easy to bring anywhere. I also suggest buying a cover for it to avoid scratches.
I worked with windows lap top for as long as they have been around, just got tired of the hassles and began working with mac--will never go back. Quality of workmanship, ease of use is without question continued in the macbook laptops, as well as all the other computer products. Software is made for busy people who just want to get the job done quickly and easily.

Macbook is the notebook computer i envisioned over 20 years ago when i bought the first toshiba laptop weighing 20 pounds with a 5MB harddrive. The MAir is as powerful and light as it gets, with the exception of the Macbook 12" which really costs. One caution, for dos/windows veterans the apple ios or operating system is not always intuitive and can be frustrating at times but you eventually come to understand it. one absolutely invaluable feature of apple machines, the one feature that should make it the only computer to buy, is there is no security software to buy, install, hassle through etc. They almost never crash. Absolute software hardware compatability. I have a wife and 4 children, we only have macs, 3 macairs, 2 mac pros, a dozen iphones. oh yeah one last thing, buy an external r/r dvd drive just in case.Read full review
