The machine as a whole is absolutely stunning. I have nothing bad to say about it. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - HOWEVER, the pre-installed Operating System (Windows 8.1) was compromised. During my exploration of installed applications, settings, etc. I came across some Chinese characters while navigating the Device Manager settings and in other places. I immediately became concerned and tossed in my latest burned disc of Debian Jessie. But it's cool though. I have been using GNU/Linux for years. I was gonna run with Jessie anyways, but it wasn't planned til later, as I have not had a Windows PC in about 8 years.

It is quite heavy, and the battery does not last long, but otherwise it's an excellent laptop. I've been working with a cheap new laptop the last few days, and I much prefer this older Thinkpad. It's performance is good and the build quality (and keyboard) are great. The screen is really good but the viewing angle is quite narrow to get the best colours.

I bought this computer for work and school. It has already been knocked off of a desk onto a tile floor without so much as a crack. It does a fantastic job at running productivity applications. The worst part about the computer is the speakers. They're tinny, quiet, and they lack bass. Overall this laptop is fantastic for students who are on a budget (basically every student)
