The construction of this cab is beast! I have a 50 watt tube head that would blow the walls down of my house, but doesn't even peak the limits of this cab. The cleans are amazing through this cab and the crunch is perfect. I will go with an orange any day for any sound. You can't go wrong with the 212 for crispy cleans to heavy bass crunch to wicked distortion. It is as heavy as a 412 in weight (heavier than certain brands), difficult to carry one person... but from gig to van and back to practice space, it's doable... The best thing about this cab is that it really pushes air, you can hear a solid sound almost 90 degrees out. The projection is amazing. There are two rows of wooden bars below the cab, lifting it a few inches up. I think it helps the sound and keeps the bottom from getting too butchered. If it were gone tomorrow, I wouldn't settle for anything else. I would absolutely get another one, no avatar cabs. I'm sure they do a great job, but I'm sold on Orange. This also holds it's value over other brands. This company really does a great job and you can see that in the resale price. The powerhouse of sonic virtue. This 2 x 12 is a direct competitor of the Mesa 2x12. Run a big Marshall into this thing and you'll hear what the Orange tone is. It is a living breathing thing unto itself. This cab is meant for heavy, heavy use. It will handle anything you can throw at it and more. Go ahead, try to fry it! You won't. Forget using a big 4x12 again. They are obsolete now. 4 speakers = tone loss. Plain and simple fella'. This little honey bunny is loud! It's bright and sparkly and it looks hot sitting in your studio or bedroom or attic. The harmonics will explode from your fingertips like a roman candle gone bad. Like watching a trainwreck you will be glued to the fretboard going, "I didn't know I could do this"! You'll be a better player with a forgiving cab like this so line up the effects one by one. The more the merrier. Heat those tubes up for an hour grab a guitar and get ready to amaze yourself. It's Orange. The product was designed to play metal and it does just that flawlessly. Of course, one is welcome to play any kind of music through the cab, but I bought it for metal and some acoustic play. The cab is very well made and the speakers deliver. It performs in the bedroom and outside of the bedroom as it should. There is nothing more to say than that.
